Glacier National Park of Canada

Mon, May 9, 2017

Did you know that Canada has a Glacier National Park?  I didn’t.  Until we drove through it.

The Trans Canada Highway goes down the middle.  Here’s a shot of the approach.  And that lady on the right is riding without a helmet.

Then it was up and over Rogers Pass for a good look at the mountains.  Not too high, though, as I recall the pass was about 4,500 ft.

Then down the backside through some steep walls and avalanche territory.  Consequently, Canada built these shelters to keep the highway open.  This one still has a ton of snow on it.

Finally we reached the town of Golden and our RV park.  Just over this single lane bridge.
