Just outside of Banff is the beautiful Lake Minnewanka.
It is a glacial lake with a green hue caused by the fine sediment that is suspended in the water. Basically, green wavelength light is preferentially reflected to produce the color.
This picture doesn’t do it justice but you get the idea.
